When i was over at the pond i spotted a couple of bugs i don't know about so hoping someone can tell me something on this one also thank u all so much for ur kind words and comments.

That's a beauty. I believe it is a bee-fly (in the fly family diptera.). Could be a Tiger Bee fly, just a quick guess. Great shot of it. Nice catch.

Fantastic capture! I don´t know what is it, but I think Richard is right. Funny thing I noticed is that the part of the head that is attached to the thorax seems the mouth of a cat. actually, her head looks like a cat's or a squirrel's head with big black eyes, looking to one. I do not really know what to do with my so crazy imagination! !

Not sure what they are called, but we have them here too and they have a nasty bite. I would say it is a Bee Fly from the Family Bombyliidae but I bever see them like this for very long because I kill them on sight like a horsefly. It is an excellent photo of one though! Congratulations on reaching 1500 uploads!
