I am a big Nascar fan of the no. 24 and the no.88 luv animals and art, music, and movies along with antiques i also collect all kinds of pigs not real of courseĆĀ crystal,cd's and DVD's oh yea i forgot about the John Deere also guess u could say i just collect a lot of things that i love.I am from Indiana also love horseback riding time alone in the woods and photography.I have a very complicated job that is something no one person would want to do i am in criminal investigations and pathology and it is not a pretty job very tough to handle when it involves children but someone must speak for those who cannot.

That's a beauty. I believe it is a bee-fly (in the fly family diptera.). Could be a Tiger Bee fly, just a quick guess. Great shot of it. Nice catch.

Fantastic capture! I donĀ“t know what is it, but I think Richard is right. Funny thing I noticed is that the part of the head that is attached to the thorax seems the mouth of a cat. actually, her head looks like a cat's or a squirrel's head with big black eyes, looking to one. I do not really know what to do with my so crazy imagination! !

Not sure what they are called, but we have them here too and they have a nasty bite. I would say it is a Bee Fly from the Family Bombyliidae but I bever see them like this for very long because I kill them on sight like a horsefly. It is an excellent photo of one though! Congratulations on reaching 1500 uploads!
