Description
The 2nd prototype is ready to join the test program now. It has some modifications compared to the first one. The fuselage belly is shaped flat to ensure enough ground clearance for external payload. Stabilizers got a thinner airfoil and shall produce lower drag. An additional window in the lower front of the cockpit seemed to be necessary for high precision low level approaches.
Mufflers/mixers have been fitted to the turbines' exhausts to reduce noise and heat radiation. Improved but bigger gear-boxes provide higher expected life time and better maneuverability, but every part weight-optimized - you cannot tell which gear-wheel would brake first.
The skids have been replaced by a six wheeled landing gear, which improves ground handling and allows overload take offs from paved runways. The fairings can contain tanks for additional fuel. Optionally equipped with inflatable floats it will be able to go down on and take off from water surfaces.

Anyway, it worked very well increasing the number of page view Nevertheless, the most reliable method of making users watch your images is tagging the nudity flag. :-D
