Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

HAHAA SKinny Legs :))) Excellent shot. Wish I had a piano. Or rather a place for such. I gave my beautiful Roland Keyboard to my grandson. He is already a better player than I ever was. :P

I see the skinny legs, but I'll be ding dong darned if I know what a dongle is. Is that the blue device over to the right that looks like a miniature speaker? Other than that, I like the atmosphere and mood in this indoor pic.

I love the long skinny legs and the lighting. My 'dongle' attached directly to the back of my old PC.

I'm skipping again, Andrea, so I can get a selection of your many styles. This is an abstract of really 3 groups of shapes, with shadows, light, and with a disk-like shape (number 4) in the upper left corner. You do beautifully at finding these music-plays in the everyday sights of your life. And you also do finely finding the right light for them at the moment. Contrast of thin against thick. base against limbs, what feels like a faded fork and spoon set and so on, with that green background broken by a blast of light. Fascinating abstract, with inward, reflective lighting. (Reflective as in inducing personal reflection.) And very inventive---a little reminiscent of your "flowers in the house" series, only this is more sparse, more spare.
