Susan loved flowers and loved her garden. She'd share how pretty things were growing at her hand and her photographs and her postwork touches showed her love for them. Susan had cancer. Her hubby had cancer. Susan shared with us her journey in the pain, the sickness, the dispair, the joys of small triumphs, and her sorrow after her hubby and several people close to her lost their fight with cancer. I admired Susan. She never gave up, she fought it on and on for years. It's so heartwrenching to know Susan has lost her strong battle with cancer. Susan, if ever anyone deserved to walk in the Victory Garden, it is you. I wish you joy and peace in this next phase of your journey. I will never look at a garden quite the same again.
