A beautiful job on this. I'd love to have seen this home in its day and its inhabitants. Maybe someone like her had actually lived there.

I don't know how much luck I'll have pasting a link here: http://www.wsmv.com/story/22664776/fire-destroys-civil-war-era-home-in-rutherford-county That house was up on Sulfur Springs Rd. which is a ways up out of the thicket where I reside. It's part of my trek toward the grand Metropolis. I hate to see what's left of it now. It was a Hospital during the Civil war. I like your render. Well done, fitting.

I've never been to the American south, except Texas, but I've often thought about the spirits that must haunt Civil War era cotton field mansions. I think you have captured here the embodiement of my visions and makes me yearn to relive a past I cannot remember or account for on my lives journies. Clearly this was her home but not so clear if she is inviting or daring us to follow her. And where or when would she take us. I have a feeling if we stepped insided with her the place would be lit up, there would be ladies in hoop skirts and young men in gray uniforms heady with the thought of going off to war. Her love never returned and she never married. With his loss the mansion fell to ruin and decay. That is the journey she is leading us to see.
