Description
Po Lin Monastery, Hong Kong.
Thru work I got a free trip to Hong Kong...the catch, it was only one night.
Since I was still on US time I stayed up all night in the hotel and by 5am was crawling the walls, I was in HK, I HAD to do something...and that's how I ended up at 6am, on top of a cloud shrouded mountain beneath the world's largest outdoor Buddha statue...and it was magical.

I think the fog adds so much to the ambiance of the statue
I am envious of your trip to HK. I was just across the pond in the Philippines 4 times, but never went there.

You should be envious, and I'm not just saying that to be an a$$, I mean, I'M jealous of myself, ha. This was truly a magical morning wandering around, completely alone on this cloud shrouded mountain top... and suddenly the outline of this HUGE Buddha began to appear through the mist. It was very humbling to say the least. And see, I'm envious of you 'cause I've never been to the Philippines!
