Hi Dalton. Good effort. Just a couple of points of critique. As someone who spent 10yrs in the Navy, and is a naval history buff and artist of this period, you have a couple of things to correct. First, in a storm with seas of this size(relative to the scale of the ship), ALL the gunports would be shut against flooding. Second, to reduce strain on the masts, yards and rigging, all sails would be tied down to the yards, except maybe the last sail on the last mast, one jib sail on the forward boom, and one or two topgallant, or uppermost sails on the masts. These few would allow for steerage way, but would not endanger the masts from the wind which could dismast her. Third, you only need one set of flags on the masts, not three, or really none at all, to save wear on them. Fourth, give the ship a little tilt down forward to show she is dipping into the trough of the wave and throw up a little bow spray. Have her sit a little bit lower, during a storm like this her lower gunports would at times be almost underwater as she rolled. Fifth, show a little white cap or two whipping off the tops of each wave, even slightly obscurring the hull (think that you are viewing the flagship from another ship during the storm). Hope these ideas help. But a good effort.

... what the heck ? At first I would study an old painting of a professional old ship painter in the fitting weather. Then I would occupy myself with the fitting light. Then I would occupy ( some ship storm photos in hand ) with the sea and wave formation. Then I would seek for a more dramatic angle of view ( cadration ). What about a more dramatic horizon ?. Though, keep on swingin` :-).

Nice...however what was said above is true..close her ports and lighten her sail or she will suffer the same fate as the "Vasa" ..Now if we can just get the hankster to make a digital frigate to the same standard as this Victory..The only thing with this digital Victory is her ships boats should be white with green gunwales and he got her rudder chains wrong. I an not a very good digital artist but a pretty good ship modeller.. Fair winds to you! cheers PE

The fog is a nice touch. And I like how the sails seem soft.
