I hope I never see a swarm of them again especially while driving. very odd creature that stays dormant under ground and then leaves all at the same time. their incessant noise are as bad as Doves/Pigeons outstanding macro

Quite comic! My Cuckoo bee is indeed a bumblebee as you thought. The Cuckoo part refers to the way it lays its eggs in other bumblebee nests. We have 22 species of bumble in the UK!
