Nice. Almost New Age, in a way. Some believe that bottlenose dolphins are as sentient as homo(so called)sapiens and have their own culture, history and forms of wisdom...but their form of communication and ways of thinking are so different from ours and even higher-order primates are so clueless and self-preoccupied that they can't see it or understand it. There was a fascinating short sci-fi story that had this theme...sadly, I can't recall the title or author.
