Description
Rhagonycha fulva on Tanacetum vulgare on the water meadows by the river Stour, Northbourne.
I know the composition should have the beetle elswhere, but I like the context more than the insect!

Like mine the other day, it is unusual to see these alone, they don't call them the bonking beetle for nothing :) Nothing wrong with the compo in my opinion. Like the POV Andrea.

Fine scene. This beetle is called præstebille (priest beetle) in Danish. I think it is funny that local (nick-) names like this can be so different. The English name should be its resemblance to an old soldier uniform's colour and the Danish name probably to a priest's colourful vestments. Whatever the name they are very common in Denmark.
