Broke out the macro lens. I cannot imagine how difficult it is outdoors with any breeze. This was taken of a tulip section that was indoors and still, many shots were taken and still... not perfect. Most difficult photography but most rewarding probably.
Thanks. Bless.

You just have to take lots of pics and hope that you can use one!!

bump your iso speed... you need to be at least 1/100 with that lens handheld. or ensure you have a stable tripod ;)

i couldn'agree more Fred, a most rewarding aspect of photography and one i really enjoy. This is a beauty if only for that rainbow bokeh

I agree with you Fred. I love this form of photography, but as you say a great difficulty. But I see that as part of the challenge mate! This is a great shot BTW!

I know all too well about wind. it has been blowing here the entire year. I do not recall ever having so much wind. one suggestion is to increase your shutter speed and even use the flash to compensate for lower light it is the only way I can neutralize the wind effect. wait until you add an extension or a 2x to your lens. any movement will ruin just about any capture without a tripod

A colourful arena surrounds this sexual centrepiece! Outside in the wind is infuriating for macro work! A friend of mine has a mini windbreaker that folds up. A small version of what us brits use at the beach! You are always battling against everything with macro. Such small DOF and critical focusing. Find what works for you, tripod or/and flash both help my stuff.
