Description

This is the beautiful "Maya" by Dave71. She is a real pleasure to work with. Thanks Dave. The rest is postwork, other then the background, which I did in Photoshop. I'm still in the learning stages but I'm getting there slowly. With this image I was trying out some hair and clothing techniques. This is going to be a bookcover so I'm very excited about this image. The title will be where the big bare spot is under the Halo. :P When this image was resized to post I lost alot of the detail, if you would like to veiw the full version you can find by clicking on the link below. HaloEyes (detailed) Thanks for viewing and any comments will be appreciated...

The detail work in this picture is stunning. I can tell that you spent a lot of time on this. I read a lot and would like to know the title of the book so that I can watch for its release.

The small render is wonderful, I went and looked at the larger render and your detail work is out of this world.. even the stitching on the sleeves... wow.. the dress looks like a suede material. I vote this a top 20. Excellent work.

Thank you all for your comments, they are very much appreciated. I have had a few people ask what tutorials I used for this image. I used ToxicAngel's Basics of Postwork available at the MP and also Will Kramer's tutorial at www.earthcurves.com. Just used a few of their techniques and added some of my own. :)

I just went and looked at the larger image, and what a shame you had to lose so much detail to post it here because the original is truly a magnificent work of art. And if you are just "learning" to paint clothes, Lord help us all when you get it down pat!!! This is one of the most beautiful images I've seen posted here in a longggggg time... BRAVO!!!!
