There's a very strong magical allurement to this image that causes well known objects such as sky, hills, rocks, sand, water and human figure to step out of normalcy and take on an aura of Sci-Fi/Fantasy. That I believe has been accomplished by your excellent choice of both color and lighting. The little twinkles in the stars lend a nice touch to the overall feel of this render. Beautifully done Sassy - and the prose is almost heart breaking.
