Description
TOE DANCING
Dedicated to my daughter, Erin Elizabeth
Off to a party with my favorite date,
A gala event for which neither could wait,
Her hair oh so perfect, her dress so divine,
I was so happy to state this princess was mine.
We strolled through the crowd and met all her friends,
Her knowledge of each seemed never to end,
With each new encounter, her introductions so sweet,
Her pride so enormous from a frame so petite.
As we sat awaiting in preparation for dinner,
I could see her aglow and beginning to shimmer,
She clutched to my arm and whispered so sweet,
That she loved me so much and I felt so complete.
My precious angel, your head in the clouds,
The smiles you give me, have left me no doubts,
Your love is so deep, no need to pretend,
A Dad and his Daughter, toe dancing again.
