Description
A little over 2 billion years ago the oxygen level in the earths atmosphere began to rise dramatically causing the iron content in the rock to oxidize. Science refers to this period as the Great Oxidation Event (GOE).
Professor Wholehog calls it..."When the Earth Began to Rust".
