Description

Dr. Ell with a nonchalant nod to the other officers, he confidently strides from the conference room and heads for the lab. Fools, they think more with their emotions than their intellect. Do they really think we will live forever? All that knowledge lost when they move beyond the veil. Foolish, foolish people, little do they know that six months ago I transferred my intellect to a bot. Six Months Ago: Dr. Ell thinks to himself, the biological body is failing. The psitronic brain they implanted 20 years ago (story for a later date) continues to function flawlessly. I cannot allow my intellect to die along with my body. My psi brain functions much as my real brain. It works off the chemo-electrical energy manufactured and transferred to the brain. Thus, I have all the needs of a biologic. The body dies, no energy for the brain and it shuts down. With the transfer to my bot no biologics are needed and my intellect can live forever ipso facto so do I. I am a genius. I have even solved the issue of initiation of the bot. When my body dies my psibrain will send out a message to the bot for it to activate. If I could be amused, I would think it funny that these simpletons don’t even realize I’m not entirely human. They don’t even question a 75 year old wearing long hair. They think it’s just another one of my eccentricities. When they whisper behind my back that I act more like a machine than a man little do they know the truth of the situation. Oh, there’s Conner. Probably being made to wait by the lab police fools that they are. “ Hey, Conner what’s up little dude?” I can even talk the talk.
