Description
First of all be understanding, drawing quality is not great because of reduced size and quality to be within the limits of Renderosity. As other times in the past, the title is not correct Latin because I have privileged the musicality rather than grammar.
Along human history many people aspired to global power, to be 'The King of the World'. Many historical figures were considered (or considered themselves) as King of the World: from Ancient Egyptian Pharaos to Roman Emperor, Middle Age kings and Queen Victoria. In the past, the only limitation in achieving this goal was the impossibility of doing so (mainly due technology and social limitations, but not only). Today is another story. Globalization can be seen as a stage in the worldwide dominance of an elite or a single man. Today, technology allows to do anything, anywhere in the world. Nations, ethnic groups, peoples, traditions are no more obstacles for economic and political activities. Even more than in the past, them are only tools used and abused for PRIVATE and PERSONAL purposes by powerful people.
I will spare you the Conspiracy Theories. You can believe it or not. The main fact is another: anyone who has the material ability to exercise power, leadership and authority, he will do it. This is part of human being. But:
- What is the limit between authority or leadership and despotism?
- Or between cultural influence and domination?
- Or between the global market (for all people) and financial speculation (for elite only)?
And so on.
I also have another question/observation to do, and this is the main idea of my picture above. Consider for a moment the idea of 'The King of the World' (if it is real or impossible, now it is not conclusive). I believe that the power of 'The King of the World' is only apparent. Perhaps we are his subjects (and prisoners), but he also is a prisoner (and subject)... of the world.
Someone (maybe) governs the fate of the world, but the world is not what we think, not only. If you remember my previous post about Anima Mundi and related consideration, you can understand the fate of the world is simply beyond all human possibilities. Do you really think that one or more men may decide in place of Mother Nature or God? Who are we to decide in place of Mother Nature or God?

and many other web sites. The meaning of my choice is evident: in a similar place began the history of the Earth, the world which everyone wants to dominate. But still you have to ask yourselves about immense forces of the creation. Really men can dominate these forces?)
Away from any consideration, there is a fundamental difference between the past ages and the present day (and a dark future): in past ages few people wanted to become King of the World, today there are so many ... too many.
So I have to repeat what I wrote for my previous work:
Each of us, honestly, knows or should know the answer. Maybe it's time to follow the heart, to use the reason, not the cruelty and abuse. It is time to think about, it is time to build our future not to destroy it.

Fantastic creation! I love your idea of ​​the world overwhelming the man who wants to own it. Of course I believe that there are forces more powerful than man, but apparently act slower than him, so it might fail to prevent the collapse of nature and humanity.

Amazing work and a powerful statement. The King of the World is a legend of considerable antiquity. It has its roots in the mysterious region of Central Asia, where the hidden city of Shanbhala is to be found. Rene Guenon wrote of the Rex Mundi and his power. Ossendowski claimed to have met him in the wastes of the Gobi. And Louis Joucullot incorporated him as part of the Nine Unknown. These can be causually brushed off as travelers tales or conspiratorial fantasies. Truth is that behind every myth lurks a truth. There is a real truth out there, and we are destined to find it. I was most fortunate to have had encounters with those who put me on the right road. It has been an arduious journey for me, and at the age of 75, I can say that it now all makes perfect sense.. Each one of us are destined to discover what is really out there, but I must warn you that once it is found the impact is powerful and it takes much time to recover from the sight of Isis Unveiled. I wish that everyone of you discovers his /her hearts desire and become the free creative kings and queens of the Universe- that my friends is the true destiny of Homo Sapien Sapiens. Wonderful and thought provoking. Personally, I'm less afraid of the people who try to rule because of greed or personal ambition than I am of those who convince themselves that they know what's best for everybody else.

did I see correctly that you only post on august 17th?? special occasion?? -except for the fact that it's 'Sint-Juttemis', the day that never comes... ;-D -anyway, it was sooo worth the wait... fabulous work!!!!! what strikes me even more -pls forgive me? ;-) - is the fact that you seem to speak my language... (YAYYY :-D) wonder what reactions would have been if you wouldn't have spared us the theories... read thru the responses prior to adding a few words and obv. few have any idea what you are refering to... that we are being looked after, 'they' are taking care of us... ;-D as for me, I stopped my quest trying to wake people up, since I seem to be the witch of Hans&Gretel and so on ;-) -long story- making lots of 'friends' that way ;-) i.e. the majority of peeps won't believe me. cuz if something wouldn't be okay, 'they' wouldn't allow 'it'? !! ;-) I do believe the theories, from the Illuminati and Bilderberg to Monsanto, Codex Alimentarius, chem trails, nano and so on and even something I will never mention cuz all hell would break loose. (pls don't shoot the messenger ;-)) etceteraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa indoctrination from the cradle to the grave and worse... yet, I'm convinced that we know only the tip of the ........ ever wondered what tsunami's/earthquaks have to do with nuclear bombs tested underground in a spec. area? or above the ground with ozon layers?? know what happened to Royal Raymond Rife and why? or Lakhovsky? The message of image is perfect. the History has many samples.The ancient Greek Mythology has a lot of samples and no one Knows what will be the fate of human being after 500 gears.Only if we love each other and war for the good of human then OUR SOCIETY with the help of technology WILL RELEASE us.Only when all of us believe that no one is better of other man and have a deep respect of ourselves then will respect and the others and not only but all the nature.So we change the mind and DNA of thought because all the way is a result of the method that the human mind thinks .the subject is the physiology of our brain which is in underway through the ages. Dynamic image! Really well done and provocative. I understand your words. I think there is a big difference in leadership than rulership. A leader acts as a guide and advisor while a ruler dictates to his/her own, often selfish, agenda. A leader has the interest of the people at heart, where a ruler has only their own interest at heart. A "Ruler of the World" is an illusion and can only be maintained by strict measures that force the people/subjects that he/she is in fact the "Ruler of the World". Your analogy of a prison for both, ruler and subjects, seems quite fitting.

I agree with you. More need to think with their hearts and help others. I believe that everyone should have a home, electricity, clean drinking water, clothes on their backs, and food in their stomachs. :))))) Those are things we all need and use everyday. :))) Beautiful image.
