Description
Always enjoy taking the kids to the rock shows. At the local one here back in March, I came across this carving and instantly thought, "Dad would love this"!
Just the massive piece of smokey quartz was gorgeous, but with the eagles carved from quartz and smokey quartz perched on top, extraordinary!
Check out the original price on that work in the left image, and the special price at the time. I was very tempted to get it for Dad's Birthday. It would be the crowning jewel of B~day gifts through the years. Of course my next thought was of Dad flying out to California and crowning me over the head with it...lol
To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!!
Thank you all that viewed my last image below.

They are hand held images greatly reduced. To see the carvings detail a zoom is recommended.

The skill and care required to make this must be amazing. One slip and its ruined. Nice pair of images.

That detailed carving is certainly striking. I often wonder when I see something like this how the person who gave it birth can let it go. There again such intricate work should be shared and admired. I think a bump on the head from this could initiate quite a headache! Better to send a photograph to your Father I think:-)

I miss mining smokey quartz and topaz gemstones in Colorado. Gotta love those rock and gem shows! A great shot of the carving!
