It's amazing to me how they hold still for you! I see dragonflies darting around here and there (mostly WAY over there) but never close up like this. Wonderful image!

a real symphony of strokes, diagonals, criss-crosses, and lights---not to mention the presence of that powerful darter, with its crinkly wings and long walking-stick body, just blending in, form wise, with the whole entourage. Another of your so-well seen insect captures. And the reds are like huge succulent peppers, peppering the shot with delicious looking protrusions. Ditto the comments above: Outstanding work, Andrea.
