awash in lines of energy, pulsing up the petals to the sky, flames imbedded in your reds and yellows and greens, a plant set aflame by your vision. And twisting its way into the sky above, which greets it with a big burst of light. A very complex flower-painting, but I can't help but feel the whole mass with all its twists and turns and undulations, etc, is reaching for that upper light, surrounded by a fiery (though gentle) background. The background near the top really does look like a sea of flames! And you have very strong counterpoint in the lower leaves, especially in some of the curls and stamens. Like many of your flower paintings, it begins in darker hues, at bottom, and makes its way into light; which makes it feel like a journey of spirit once more. But you have beautiful highlights along the way: In fact, your light, as one moves up the plant, almost feels 'marine', like we're viewing the plant through water...Beautiful work, Carol, once again rendering the flower into a deeply personal journey upwards. Truly beautiful. Carol I've now been in your gallery for 2 hours, so I must move on. I wish I could do comments faster (and do more of them); but these comments take time, and when I'm done I'm just emptied out. (A good emptied out, but still emptied out.) But as you know, I sit with everything as everything goes up, and my comments are culminations of my day to day experience of your gallery. As always, a profound combination of painting with inner journey; and very spiritual as well. Gorgeous work, all of it.

Deep colors and immersed it seems. The lighting is truly a great addition.
