Description

once upon a time... there was a handsome wild stork boy, who decided to build a nest on a wagon wheel, that was placed on a pole on the terrain of a bird-, hedgehog- & wild animal shelter..... in the midst of a huge luscious park. the shelter-people were in awe. they had never expected this to happen, pole hadn't been their idea. besides, it had been over a century since storks had nested on their 'island'. winter came, but the stork stayed put. when spring arrived, the winds brought a beautiful stork girl..... young and fair and the rest is history?! ;-D may 17th, 2012 nesting... TYallSM for your wonderful comments (& fav.s!) on the pic of Dana!!! couldn't resist posting cuz of the name ;-D guess I spot measured, hence the washed out BG actually do have a rather nice pic of this doggy -hearhear-, but that 1 screams for PS, there are LEGS on 1 side ;-)

I last saw a stork years ago. Unfortunately moors drained from greed and so the storks deprived of their livelihood. Nice that there are refuges where the storks can still live. A beautiful, dynamic photo!
