Lehania felt her circuits throb in agitation. She wanted to tell her companions to run, but where would they go on this barren planetoid? The Paklet would be on them in a matter of nanoseconds!
There would be no mercy offered to her or her fellow Solvieg. The Paklet would succeed in eliminating three more of her harried kinfolk in their need to "purge" the galaxy of Organics and whoever else stood against them.
The stand has been taken, however, and she must act. She pressed the trigger on her gun.
May her creators and her fellows understand-
And then suddenly: a bright stream of laser fire erupted from the right of her vision, hitting the black chrome Paklet in its side. The red Paklet turned its head, allowing Lehania to shoot at its chest. The black chrome fell, taking its fellow down to the ground with it.
Lehania saw a ship arrive from the horizon, its mounted gun shrouded with a dark red glow from firing.
That was more than enough of a hint! "RUN!" she cried to her stunned companions. "I'm right behind you!"
