I was born and raised in California a l-o-n-g time ago. I’ve always liked to travel, and lived in the Panama Canal Zone for 10 years. It was heaven on earth! I'm now semi-retired from the US government and live in FloridaI’ve used personal computers for the last 12 years, and dappled in PhotoShop, Bryce, Flash, animation, web design, photography, Vue and Poser 7. Now I mostly use DAZ/studio and PhotoShop. Working with 3D art has opened a whole new world and it's so addictive.I'm a strong supporter of the environment, wildlife, quality life for farm animals, and organizations that try to make life better for the suffering and injured animals of this world. OK, so I'm not too fond of bugs, while I don’t go out of my way to hurt them, they are not allowed to live in my house!  Also love reptiles from frogs to dinosaurs! My art includes a lot of dragons and my website Dragon Mischief features some of them. I also have a shop at Cafepress where I sell my art.I’m recently adopted a senior a Rat Terrier, named Mitzi.  She loves to sleep in her bed while I play on the on the computer.  I recently purchased my dream digital camera, Canon EOS 60D DSLR (2011) and will try and share some photos too.Patrish Dehler

A great shot but rather you than me for the killing bit!

It was just after dark on our Desoto county (Florida) farm. My (then) wife was out at the barn but hadn't turned on the lights yet when suddenly, she let out a terrified scream. One of these frogs, as big as your hand, had dropped down and landed on her face, covering her eyes, where it clung until she ripped it off. She had no compunctions about killing it!

They have huge suction pads. That would be quite a shock especially if you can't see what fell our your face!

and it looks sooo cute... fabulous pic!! 'thanks to humans' 'exciting' changes in nature, 'here' as well can't u send it back to it's natural habitat by ship or plane or donate it to a zoo?? -seriously, ahem- as u mentioned, it's not the frog's fault... :'-(

Sadly it's like the huge constrictors that have been released here in Florida - too many - no zoos want them. They are all over the place and do damage. I don't want it eating my geckos & the brown anole lizard. It will be done humanely.
