Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Funny about those blinds! I wish we could grow that plant here, but then I shouldn't like the heat....

I love that iron gate (screen ... whatever). Beautiful with the bouganvilla!

I also love the bougainvillea, it gives such a Mediterranean feeling. Looks like maybe you were driving up 101 through the west side of the city? Some great homes on that route, and even more fun ones along the oceanfront highway. Well spotted and captured!

We had 3 bougainvillea plants but got rid of them because of the thorns and hard thick roots in the garden. They are beautiful plants indeed bu I just didn't like the thorns. Kona has a lot of these plants along the highway. The blinds are winking at you ;) Aloha

Simple geometry and splendid clarity and stark contrast in this pic of the ornate home, Maz.
