Not much time for Vue lately, but today I had a chance to play with the spaceship construction kit I got from Rendo and put together a colony ship. Here is a quick render and the "story". "Colony ship" A new colony ship is passing Neptune on the way out of the solar system. It is the first ship headed for the newly discovered world of Belegor III. The colony ships each carry 5000 settlers in cryo sleep as well as 4 crews that take six months shifts during the 2 year trip across 40 lightyears of deep space. The ships are capable of faster than light travel by using "hyper jumps", however, this requires vast amounts of energy and they have to recharge their jump drives for long time periods after each ~5 light year jump (which happens instantaneous). The ship will be partially dissembled in orbit and used as starting material for the new colony. A part of it will also be converted into an orbital station. Ciao TD
