Description

In recent years I've spent a lot of my time engaged in doing fine art photography, altho I rarely post my photographs on my RR gallery. Mostly this is because I have become obsessed it would seem with creating images with DAZ3D. This post comes close to why I became interested in learning DAZ in the first place. It is a blending of a photograph I took of a large field of dead sunflowers I came across near Sacramento last month with images created in DAZ (Skeleton for M4 and Noggins Poser Crows). My artistic aspirations are to create impactful images that have an underlying narrative. To some degree this image approaches that goal. The print I've made of this image is 39" x 19" and much detail has been lost in presenting it within the limitations of the RR gallery format. The murder of crows in particular does not stand up to close scrutiny here altho it does in the print.

Very impressive image. The desolation is tangible. It is a pity that the flight crows on the right will be noticed first after going to full size. They lookes like leaves on a tree to me at first glance. The high voltage pylons in the distance emphasizes the enormous field area. There must be an awful lot of sunfloweroil standing on that field.

It was my intention that the viewer would not at first notice the approaching Murder of Crows. I wanted it to slowly dawn on the viewer that from the point of view of the skeleton-scarecrow the scene was about to get a worse. Again, with the full size print this works out more smoothly.

It’s great work in concept and in composition But I do agree with Raages the flock of crows look a little strange but maybe that was your intention. Either way great work

Excellent blending of your photo and 3D objects, the photo is well chosen and I feel a deadly world atmo.....the electric pylons gives the depth, and the skeleton pose gives a surrealistic mood ! Absolutely superb !

Thats Awesome that you've made a large print of this. I have done a couple of my renders as well. You wouldn't think so but the large prints are Much more powerful of an image than anything on the computer. Which really makes me wonder what this print looks like, because its a pretty powerful image here. Very nice "Blend" Oh, and I forgot it was called a "Murder" of crows. Yikes ! ;-)
