Description

Learning New Things At some point Far far in the future This will seem easy Right now I have faith But very little skill What I cannot accomplish today Not even to save my life Will become second nature (Please, please let it be true!) This brain twisting Exhausting Intense process Is necessary In order to become proficient (I keep telling myself that!) Learning something new Seems daunting at first Even small goals Are unattainable (Dammit! Not again!) But eventually Little by little The first part becomes easy Something to build on And I can see light Step by step Bit by bit Easier and easier And one day ... Ta-da! Got it! .................... The August Writer's Gallery Challenge is "Learning New Things." It's a challenge, not a contest, and everyone is welcome to participate. Cover art done in ArtRage.

so very true. but in order to succeed one must know failure and know that you must try again pardon me! as a wise one once said, "do or do not, there is no try." YOU can do it

I recognize the oil brush from ArtRage. It's a good program and the programmer is very helpful fellow. I don't use ArtRage often enough. I'm really more of a photoshop person. Anyway, excellent write up and so true.

Well said. "Nana korobi - ya oki" - "Seven times down, eight times up." You cannot lose if you refuse to surrender, but man is it frustrating.

Excellent and very true. The trouble is that 'far in the future' is an unlikely target at my age, so urgency is the key word!
