Description
I found a few photos from one of my trips to France that I meant to post a while back & here's the first of them.
This is the port of Honfleur, a very picturesque town in northwest France, in the department of Calvados. My wife & I had been there previously & in addition to enjoying the beauty of the town, we had one of the best meals of our lives there. We were looking forward to returning to the same restaurant, but were very disappointed to find that it had been converted into an art gallery. Oh, well, I suspect it would have been unlikely our first dining experience would have been repeated anyway & we did still enjoy visiting the town & sharing it with some new friends we were traveling with. A few more views of Honfleur to follow...

A picturesque little town. I feel sorry for folks who spend their lives all crammed together like that though.

Such tall and skinny buildings squeezed right together; I stayed in a town like that in the north once, I think it was actually in Belgium right over the border, Bethune. Beautiful scene and capture!

Fascinating! I looked at this in full view, and got lost. All those windows, all those shops, all those lives ... there's so much here ... it pulled me right in! Excellent shot.

A must zoom to see how the narrow housing was built and a very scenic POV!
