As I've said before, I see all your work, even in those weeks when I'm not commenting anywhere. And when this went up, I felt it was the "climax" of your short series of sea shots. It reminded me of my own "sea"---Lake Michigan. (Even though Lake Michigan isn't nearly as large as the Mediterranean.) Lake Michigan gets the same silvery tone, with those beautiful white wave-tops. You caught all that, here, and the light "opens up" on the water, as it moves towards the shore. It opens-up in a big upside-down "V". There are also beautiful dark sections in the water, by contrast. And this has a darker, brooding sky. Here, too, you give us a small band of sand---though in this shot you give us more than in the previous shots. But it's still a small band compared with the size of the water and sky. So the image is still mostly about the water and sky, and so it remains "infinite". And I like the deep shadows on the beach, too. A beautiful end to this series, and a fav for all three: I think they're grand. (And again, I really like that you post large versions. I hope people are zooming/looking full size, because your eye is so apparent in the larger views.)
