Description

Third piece of my quick sketch exercise series featuring "Lord of the Rings" characters. I painted this image on Fractal Painter with a wacom tablet, in about 15 minutes. I froze the frame from the movie DVD on my tv and painted it from scratch on the computer while looking at it.

Good effort, but the face at the lower jaw is a little too wide. Viggo Mortenson has a very thin, angular face. I like the "painterly" brush stroke effect though.
