Description

Cicada: 5.8 centimeters/2 inches - he produces sounds up to120 dB (among the loudest of all insect-produced sounds.) he "sings" all day long in my backyard. Katydids: 7.62 centimeters/3 inches - he produces sounds up to 110dB . he "sings" all night long in my backyard. I need earplugs! thanks for looking and for any comments!

we had so many cicadas when I was a child. luckily they stay dormant in the ground for years before emerging to eat leafs and reproduce. both are very good macros. I ran into a swarm in Oklahoma years ago
