Oooh I'm so pleased with this one - so much better than my "Martian Dawn" pic :) This is what I was trying to achieve in the first place *lol*. 137 objects (boulders, and terrains); 3hrs 2min to render on the Broadcast setting.

Joe are you trying to portray a specific area or is the place just a thought up one. The colors seem pretty accurate, Mars is too close though. Check out morning on the snowball at the writers forum...It's a real friendly place. Oh BTW some of the JPL shots online give excellent views you could do some animations that are OTM (on the mark)

What do you mean "The colors seem pretty accurate, Mars is too close though?" I couldn't do animations to save my life, even in Vue. Besides my pc isn't fast enough. The colours were indeed inspired by JPL images I've seen over the years, but the place is just made up, playing around with terrains. I'll check out the forum, thnx

I like your Mars scene with the strewn boulders. I don't know how accurate it is, erosion and all, but it's a pleasing combination. Thanks for sharing it.

Great object placement and textures. I think it's pretty cool and even if it's not 100% accurate, who says art has to be accurate?
