Description
The '55 Chevy was a turning point for the manufacturer, as the first successful Chevrolet with an optional V8 engine. Though Chevrolet had produced an earlier car with a V-8, the 1918 Chevrolet Series D using a 55 horse power, 288 cubic inch V-8,[1] it had remained in production for only a year; the 55's looks, power and engineering made it a critical success.
The 1955 Chevrolet continued with minor amendments in 1956 and was replaced by the more substantially updated 1957 Chevrolet. PLEASE ZOOOOOOM!

Nice shot Andrew! I'm wondering about the extra radiator in front of the main one. It is a transmission oil cooler?

probably transmission . I love the car as I had one when I was young. I had more fun in it than any other car(finer things in life)

One shiny machine! They surely didn't look that good out of the factory!

I prefer these 55's to the 56 and 57 as they seem less fussy. Wouldn't say no to owning any of them though. Did you check out my 54 lol.
