In Tienen, Belgium were yesterday liberation celebrations. As always you can find character heads. You also have the association between past and present.

Very strange expressions! I am always confused as to why people celebrate their liberation by dressing up in war regalia? To me that's like celebrating marriage by getting a divorce.

As for myself, I use these occasions. You do not often get the chance to see characters from past times. The contrast between past and present gives a special mood.

They look like the could be guerilla fighters more than US army soldiers. I am surprised that they let civilians carry arms in Belgium. Or are these fakes with pins removed? One thing that is really striking is the old uniforms with very modern and vivid photo techniques. Gives a strange feeling to the image. Love the color work the way. I like your softer approach to HDR work.
