Description

yep, that's my ugly mug in the thumb.. snicker. lol, i cropped the photo in which i was holding my new nephew at the time and also in the pic was my sis, bro in law and a older nephew. the shot was taken from the timer it had. so it's a self portrait in a sence. i was about 50 yrs old at the time of photo. thanks for checking in.. we have a yearly hot air balloon classic in our fine city, Memorial Day weekend. bummer thing is i have not had a camera since 2006 and i'm using a shot from a past event, i really like the pov on this shot. i so love taking pictures and do have some pretty good shots, really wish i could get a new killer camera. just like Dana Pommet (a friend here) photography is a passion for me. i also must have 200 or more pics from at least three years of this event. one of the crowd favorites is the night glow in which i could not get a good enough shot for my liking to post for future images. i do not often post pics as you know my friends, but i hope you all enjoy this shot. the 512 limit really killed this clear and sharp picture. and as always many thanks for your comments and kind friendships. love you all. lol Steve i also finally got around to adding my profile after 7 years, i tried a few times my first year and never figured it out as a novice, got a wild hair today and did so.

Not what I expected you to look like, outside of the hat...I always thought you wore one. I have an old contax 35mm film Camera with two lenses I haven't used in a couple of years, and the other day I found out why....lol. I still can't get my digital 35mm to focus properly.

this is a very cool shot... I always wanted to go up in a hot air balloon. the closest I got to it was parasailing behind a both in the Jamaica...and they put me down in that water which I did not like...but the flying part was a blast...I still would like to do this someday...you did a great job with your profile btw... chills and thrills

Thanks for the kind words Steve - you are a great guy and I am honored that we have become such good friends. I like this capture with the inside POV. Also so cool to see the shadows of the people standing outside!

Marvelous shot Steve. Very colourful and I love the crowds shadowed against the back of the balloon. I'd love to take a hot air balloon ride some day.

Its a great photo .Its obvious that you have a passion for photography. It shows in this photo . Did you use a SLR camera ? I mean not the digital type but the conventional type where you have to adjust everything manually ..Those where the good old days , when creativity was in the hands of the photographer and knowledge of your camera was king .Once again great shot .
