Description
I found a number of public domain
photos recently and as I was browsing
through them I found this poster
which I have used as a reference
for my sketch,
"Garfield for President" c. 1880.
I thought it was quite amusing.
It provides an interesting contrast
to what we see today in our Presidential campaigns. I hope you like the sketch.
The sketch was done with HB, 2B,
and 3B pencil. The Frame and a
few touch ups were done in PSP7
with finishing touches in Corel...Cheryl

Wow! I think of all your works, this runs high on my list of favorites. The power in the man's pose, his face and beard, they all come out very well as well as it being very lighthearted on the American experience... :)

Great illustration of that time. I am astonished at the amount of work that you can do. Very depictive. As always thank you for allowing us to view your work.

I love the symbolism in this drawing as it captures so well the different opinions of the candidates.
