Description

this machine will cover the sugar cane. There is four steel blades in front of the rollers that will cover the cane and the roller will make the top of the roll it makes flat. I do not know what in the bottles on top of the plow. The way it works is on the cane by the joints on the cane there is an eye that will start growing a new cane up and out of the ground. I missed this machine when it started to do it thing. I did get the action on the side, so i post that tomorrow. Sugar cane takes two years to grow so this will be ready next year around this time. The tall crop you see in the far back is sugar cane. some is been cut now but i did not see them yet this year. i saw some wagons of it been pull but I think the cane is been used now to plant new cane for next year in fields that is been rotated. They will grow another crop first then plant cane like they did in this field. It was soybeans and now they planting sugar cane.

Wonderful shot, Jocko. When I had my horse at the other horse farm, they had thrashing machines going while we were riding and the horses did not even look at them!

I miss the sugar cane fields. We would get a piece of cane and chew on it. It was sweet. Things you do when you are a kid. haha

Jock, I wanted to be sure and tell you thank you so much for sharing another photo from the sugarcane fields with us. This is all very fascinating to me since this type of farming I am not exposed to at all. Thank you also for providing all the detailed background information on how the process works To be honest I had no idea it took so long to grow it.
