Tonight's image refers back to the one from the 1st, The Swan Emerges. Flash back to the last day of the school year, several months ago; the last time Jessica and Timmy saw each other until the first day of their senior year. This is when the inspiration for their transformations was set in place. It hadn't mattered to either what the other had looked like, they were simply impressed that someone was taking an interest in them; and someone they enjoyed being with was definitely a plus. Yet, despite the other persons size and otherwise undesirable appearance, by societal standards, they didn't care one bit. What mattered to Timmy was that Jessica could listen to him, and converse with him on his own level, adding to the conversation rather than just nodding in agreement. He also loved her laugh when he would tell her the jokes he had heard from the customers at his father's business. And yes, despite her rather well rounded figure, he thought she was simple lovely. Jessica didn't care that Timmy was rather large either. She simply loved that he wasn't like the other guys in school, and had a sense about him that made her feel valued, safe, and appreciated for who she was, not what she appeared to be. She also thought he had the prettiest of eyes. But that is what started the ball rolling for both of them. They didn't fully know the interest that the other had, but yet wanted to surprise the other by trying to make themselves better; more fit, and more attractive -- as if it had really mattered. Neither forgot about the other all summer. For Timmy the transformation came easily, he spent the summer working in his dad's shop changing tires, instead of playing video games. Jessica helped her mom out in the yard gardening and in the evenings went to attend her grandparents yards too. It is also when she discovered that she still had some physical growing to do as well, as she further developed a more curvaceous figure. She also became introduce to the beauty parlor where she was encouraged to cut her hair and style it in a more flattering way which certainly in conjunction with the other changes made her appear less nerdy, and much more desirable. And now, forward to "The Swan Emerges." Again, neither knew what was in store for the first day of school, yet they had looked forward to seeing each other again. They also were both taken by the changes they saw in the other, and each glad they were inspired to make changes in themselves. Inside they each felt that the other hadn't needed to have done so, but sure did like what they seen! The months will roll by, and fall will come, and so will winter.
