Description
This portrait is turnabout in a way -- or maybe 2 ways. My son, who has appeared in several of my photos here, took this one of me. But it's still my work ---the Jedi robes I'm modeling were sewn by me. I wear them in appearances with the Rebel Legion, one of the best-known Star Wars costuming groups. So here, I'm model rather than photographer & instead of making Jedi pictures, I am a Jedi.
So how did we end up doing a costumed photo shoot in Pinnacle Mountain State Park? I did an interview to be published online (no word on when yet), on Star Wars fans in rural areas. ROFL, Little Rock is a sizable capital city. The reporter asked for a picture of me in costume in a natural setting. So of course we picked one of our favorite walking/hiking spots.
In fact, the Little Maumelle from my previous picture is just a few yards behind me on the Arboretum Trail.
Neither of us, obviously, took into account the glare off the river, and yes, the blade of my Master Replicas lightsaber badly wants Photoshopping.
