Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I guess that's easier than hanging the whole plant! My friend Ann would love this. :)

A most unusual way to show them! I used to grow so many of these, but things change.

"It was just gorgeous!"... I should say. What a wonderful treat -- thanks so much for sharing it with us! A number of amazing blooms were posted today, and I can't help thinking how lucky we are to have "cones" in our eyes. Think of all the animals that can't detect colors -- what a tragic loss not to see this beauty, especially when living out in the middle of nature each day. Of course if the extra low-light vision helps you avoid being lunch, I suppose that's a reasonable trade-off, but dang.
