Description

So, how does one get a unique angle on something that has been photographed at least 900 gazillion times? Aside from flying a camera-armed radio-controlled quadcopter up Lincoln's nose, I mean? Well, I shot a bunch of photos - both from the main viewing area, and the trail that leads to the bottom of Mt. Rushmore. You'll be seeing more later (we encountered a few "familiar faces" other than the ones carved into the mountain hint, hint..). This is another one of those places where the scale is just impossible to describe in words or a single photo... It is truly breathtaking. A few miles from Rushmore they are currently working on what - when completed - will be the largest rock sculpture on Earth - the Crazy Horse Memorial. I'll have a few shots of that as well.
