Description
All of you probably remember where you were when it happened. I was working as a newspaper reporter, and was on my way to do the police beat. When I got to the station, the police and fired department was outside waving to me. I did not have the radio on, so I thought some big crime just happened in out little village. No. I got there just in time to see the second plane crash into the Trade Towers. None of us believed it. At first I though they were watching a movie. No one could believe what was happening.
But it did. Here on our soil.
May of us thought we were at war, and we were. Against terrorism. We still are, Now in Syria they have used poisonous gas. We must stand up against these horrors.
I go to bed tonight with sad memories of a lost innocence, before 9-11. Lost lives.
We will never forget.

I was home watching a show on morning TV and talking to someone and glanced at the screen and thought they were showing previews to a movie then I realized it was live TV I was glued to the TV for the rest of the day and night. Great tribute

I love the BG in this. Nice dedication. Not sure I get the platypus though. :-) I was at work that day, working for a very small company in a guy's basement. They older couple call to us down stairs about a plane crashing into the towers and we assumed it was a small passenger plane gone off course or something like that. Then they called down that another one hit an to get upstairs to see the TV news. I was shocked to learn they were jetliners and done intentionally. I remember watching the burning towers and just imaging them incapable of withstanding the torment they were being subjected too. I said "I sure hope they don't collapse". The old engineer I was working for who though he knew everything just because he is an engineer said, "That won't happen. Those buildings are designed for those types of impacts." I kept quite as a moment later we watched in horror as the first one collapsed.
