Description

Disturbed while I was gardening today. The best I could do with a point and shoot in a breeze, I shall be most grateful for an ID, which i will probably get from the experts on Flickr, where you can see another shot of my little friend Here

Stellar shot, Andrea. Grasshopper is what David Carradine, as the Shaolin monk, Kwai Chang Caine, would call naive hopefuls in the television series, Kung Fu.

Such a lot of details this grasshopper has, Andrea. You shows this to us by your excellent shot. So good you could do some garden work again, here it's rain, rain, etc. btw, That would be very exciting making a ride with you in that red oldie, and I'm very curious which outrageous hat you would wear, Andrea. Despite my hair is not quite as red as a year ago. I've found a bit more brown Henna, but unfortunately it's no longer for sale here, so it can be, in a month, I'll have an outrageous color, maybe it will fit well with your hat then. LOL

FlickR's version has spectacular details Andrea but both are excellent photos. Even with a new user ID and password - I still can't comment on the other side!

It's a lovely shot. Great detail. It looks to me, like he is missing one of his femurs. They are so distinctive on grasshoppers with the braided pattern. I can see one on the opposite side of his body, sticking up above his wing. Maybe it's just held in a way that I can't see it.
