I wonder if he convinced her! I spent today at a photographic trade show. They had lots of interesting displays and lectures, but I liked the people watching best!

so long as you can stay focused on the subject and not get beyond your depth of your field and if you need to, get a tripod to support your equipment so you can shoot straight
