Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time.  I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

Helle, painting with Water Soluble Oil Paints sounds very challenging indeed. Still, you have done a masterful job on this wonderful painting in my opinion. I really like this majestic scene you created.

I've got some of that stuff, bought it very cheap and never tried it. Perhaps after your experience I won't bother! The compo is excellent, perhaps when it's completely dry you could work over it in another medium, until you are really pleased

Thank you Andrea for your suggestion. That might work with really oilpaint. Acrylic on oil is not good, they say, but the opposite should work. Maybe I can make it look less naivistic, as it seems I couldnt do that with waterbased Oilpaint. :-(

Very beautiful job on this!

To me Helle this is beautiful. The only thing if I had to be picky is the bit of shadow on the water just in from the left bottom - I think it shouldn't be there !!

Thanks alot, Jeff. I think you are right.. I hope to be able to correct it when it is dry or maybe paint another painting of this motif :)

Despite the difficulties, the painting came good! Great work! :)

I love the blending qualities of oil paint. I've thought about trying Water Soluble Oil Paint because of the greater ease for cleanup, but after your experiences I don't think I will. I agree with Andrea. It's a lovely scene with beautiful composition. A little refinement with oil paint and it would really shine. I like the colors a lot, all those variations of green.

It may be a challenge to do, but you should be proud of your accomplishment. It's beautiful.

It sounds like the paint is too thick. Maybe if you thinned it a bit more? I don't know poo about painting with oil, water-based or regular, so don't go by me ... it's just an idea. :P

I never even knew they had water-soluble oil paint, but I'm not sure that's such a good idea; isn't it the long-term blending possibilities with oil paint one of the best features? Quick drying makes for hard adjustments! Well done under the circumstances, and I'd agree returning to the classic is probably a good idea since that's what you're more comfortable with.

Well my friend, the whole looks like a very happy painting to me. And I had a chuckle about your gum-story, haha! Yes, Oil paint will lift it up. I've never tried oil paint on water base.

Marvelous creation !
