Abreojos means "open eyes" in Spanish. I live on the tip of Baja California and Colorado before that.
2013 update. Had to go to work in the states since the crash of 2008. Speend my summers in ND working. Spring and summer in the southwest and winters home in Cabo. Got back into photography and am enjoying that far more than digital landscape programs for many reasons but mainly because it get me away from the computer and out in the world again!
Since I Started playing around with digital art several years ago and have created images I never thought I had the talent to create. I have learned from many great artist in this community since IÂ became a member IÂ believe back in 2002. Â Thanks for stopping by!

Fascinating formations. The ones toward the top (verticals capped with horizontals) look like doorways & remind me of "Indiana Jones And The Lost Crusade". Also reminds me of the much smaller (but equally fantastic) formations I visited at Bisti Badlands in New Mexico last year. Well composed image...

WOW look at all that erosion. You can even see the sandstone caprocks. Great shot.

This place keeps getting mentioned near me. It's on my list ... maybe on our way home in the spring? I'm really looking forward to seeing it!

These look like temples that have been constructed in the cliff face. Those horizontal "layers" look like some kind of uncomformities to me - something really different happened for a geologically short period of time - some totally different sedimentary regime. I love trying to solve mysteries like this.

Beautiful shot of the mystical formations. I believe I see a portal into a hidden dimension, or maybe it is a lost mine or the entrance to the inner earth.
