Description
I know plenty of people who are either Nikon or Canon fanboys ONLY. I have used both until the grips and colour have literally worn off my SLRS's, but they are all still going strong! So either is fine by me!
What is your preference, or are you into Sony, Olympus or one of the many others? I would be interested to hear your preference if you have one! I guess I should say that I shot both of these with a Canon 5d II.
Please zoom if you would like a better look.

No preference they are all good. Just have to know how to use them.

agree with above, my tools of the trade are a 1000d, 550 D, 600D and a Sigma SD15 imo rhe Sigma wins on color capturing

I have a Nikon DLSR and I like it but any of the brands are excellent and far exceed my abilities. It does seem once you choose a brand and invest in a few lenses you develop a certain amount of brand loyalty.

Fun shots :) I shoot with Canon, it's what was available and affordable at the time. Now I have invested in "stuff" so... it's CANON for me.

Canon shooter, here. Had an EOS650 for years, so when I went digital, I stayed with Canon as the 650 lenses work fine with the digital. Nikon makes excellent cameras and lenses as well. This is a great pair of captures!

Wow ... The lenses are pretty huge. Two great shots. I shot 5 or 6 years with a Nikon Coolpix 8400, a so-called bridge camera. She has always taken good photos and still works. 2 years ago I bought a DLSR, a Canon 5D Mark II. That's another world. I think, both brands are very good, you must decide for one of them, or for a different brand. There's a saying: The eye makes the picture, not the camera.

I was always a Pentax person till I went digital. I can't stand the weight of any DSLR and anyhow I can't be bothered with doing a second honours degree in order to understand how to work it! My brother swears by Canon.

All my photography is done using Olympus equipment even in the days of film.

I was a Pentax in the days of film but I now shoot with Nikon DSLRs largely because the cameras feel more comfortable in my hands especially the older D40 as the Canon equivalents were slightly smaller and I never felt I had a proper grip on them

My camera came in a pancake box a couple of years ago. It takes like six pic's before I have to charge the battery, but I love it. It even fits in my shirt pocket, cool huh? Outstanding photo's Andrew.

I have Nikon gear, a D90 with 105 macro, 70-300, 85mm portrait, and 18-105mm, I'also just got a Fuji x 100s, which i'm busy learning to use

I have both dude but i seem to like Nikon the best as i get better results and the pics that come off of my Cannon i cannot use on here cause i can't get them cropped enough to throw on so there u go mate.

Since I hated to lug my 8 kilogram Nikon D80 + 3 objectives, I sell it and bought me a Fuji X-S1 and I am very happy with that camera.

I have a Nikon D300 and a D300S which have worked very well for me. I also keep a Lumix G5 in the Jeep in case I don't have my big stuff with me. My next camera will be a Canon D5MK3 or maybe a Dx1, but I will continue to use my Nikons too. I want the Canon to work with some big glass that appears to outperform Nikon's big glass. Might be a dumb and expensive move so I'm not jumping in yet. Still assessing things said by Canon reps and dealers which do not jive with each other. One or the other is providing misleading information and it seems to be the dealer.

I had the following DSLR cameras thus far: Olympus,Sony and currently Canon. All of them is fine with me. Must still try Nikon though. Superb capture my friend. God bless.

I started with a Kodak point and shoot when the photography bug bit me. After that the above mentioned DSLR brands followed.

if it is easy to use (without requiring a degree in electronics) then I will use it! at the moment, I have a Sony and a Canon and I like them both

Started with a Kodak 404 (mostly shooting slides) in the early 60s, Pentax film camera through the 80s, had good luck with a Minolta for many years (my first digital) and now with a Canon. This Canon has been dropped multiple times and soaked in gorge and still serving me well but I am looking to replace it with a Nikon. New Hampshire has no sales tax so I only have another week to decide!
