Description

This is sort of an homage to my great grandfather, Frederick Lars Pedersen. He was from Odense, Denmark (home of Hans Christian Andersen) and came to the U.S. sometime in the latter half of the 19th century. He settled in Flushing, Queens, NY and had a wonderful house on Delaware Avenue. He was the headmaster of a school in Odense and also a watchmaker (he made watches from scratch). For awhile he partnered with the watchmaker Wittnauer--have no clue what happened there, but Wittnauer certainly continued his trade. I never met him, but my Pop knew him, and the only thing I remember my Pop describing were FLP's calves--Pop said they were large as dinner plates. So, I guess he was a big fella...must have been, since my father's mother was 5'll"--rather tall for a gal in the early 20th century. Just a little bit about me. Thanks for dropping by and for any comments you may like to leave...looks like fall might finally be here :D Character: Daemones (RDNA) Hair and Beard Braid: SAV (Rosity) Tunic and Crown: Xurge Background: FS (Rosity)

A splendid Warrior/King portrait my friend... I am fond of the Norse tales and this fits the bill to a tee. Thank you also for the brief look into your lineage. Excellent!

Just came across your gallery. You images are captivating. I chose this one to comment on because it was the most recent but they all are well done. This image is has a strong photo-realistic quality to it. Excellent!

Interesting family history Barb. You're lucky that you know so much about your family going back so far. My family tree seems to peter out before the start of the 20th Century. Your depiction is also very well rendered. He looks like a man of many campaigns and many tales.
