Description
First plays with daz 4.6.0.18 and genesis 2.
Funny how that happened.up to now I was still using the daz4.0.3.47 pro/64 bit version.
I had troubles to upgrade the first 2 times and I left it at that.
Now a couple of days ago I saw on facebook that Peggy had an issue with daz 4.6,and I tried to help.
And I advised how to install.later at night I woke up and I said to myself:René you stupid ass,giving people advice,but don't doing the same for yourself,saying this I was installing daz 4.6 at an earlier stage but I forgot to install all that I advised peggy to do,ie genesis essentials etc.
I finally did on my second machine,and oh what a miracle I did 3 scenes,loaded older scenes,imported pz3s etc and I had not a single crash,flawless so to speak lol.
I was so involved the whole day that I could not take time to upload and comment,heheheheh.
Beeing a paranoid sob,i only updated my daz on the second machine and let it run for a week before updating my main machine -lol,always be careful when upgrading.
The moral of this is:while helping Peggy I helped myself even more,and I thought why can't we act like this all the time,or at least more often.because this is not only for daz and poser,i mean helping each other can be spread into every aspect of daily life.
Another lesson learned.

I agree with you all the way, Rene, about helping others! It is not only the right thing to do, it also feels good to do it! I'm glad you got yourself fixed via the machine upgrade (LOL). A very fine scene here too! Bravo!

This scene really does look great, René. I'm so glad you finally got the issues worked out and can now enjoy DAZ. I think after you use Genesis 2 for a while you will become as big a fan as I am

Now that's an unexpected welcome surprise - i mean with getting studio 4.6 to install smoothly for you. I usually don't have trouble with Daz Studio itself, bu then again, with the whole Genesis 1 & 2 content thing, that was another story in itself, trying to get the content to install, figure out wheres the best place to install it, then try to find the darned content after its installed and end up having to dig through dozens of menus looking how to get the darned program to update the content database. I honestly don't blame you for being weary and holding off. Yeah I normally don't use Daz studio except for playing around with the Genesis 1 & 2 content I've bought. Eventually I'll get Carrara 8.5 ;) in addition - I'm really digging the lighting and shadows in this scene... Nice work on the scene setup and characters! :)

Glad you fixed it, Rene. Daz Studio will not even install on my PC. When I had it installed, it would not work. It froze. I have an Intel I-7, 3.4 ghz processor, 64 MB RAM, Windows 7 pro, and a 4 GB graphics card. It should run it, but it does not for some weird reason. So I stick with Poser 2014.

Also ... ich arbeite immer noch mit einem sechs Jahre alten Rechner (Intel Pentium mit 1,8 GHz, 2 GB RAM, NVidia GeForce und Windowx XP), der nur noch läuft, wenn ich regelmäßig Kohle nachschaufle. Ich bleibe immer bei Rechner und System, bis ich wechseln MUSS. Aber DAZ 4.6 läuft irgendwie. Trotzdem muss ich irgendwann wohl auf etwas Neues umsteigen, denn Reality und Luxrender kann ich momentan vergessen. Deinen Worten zum gegenseitigen Helfen kann ich nur Lob und Anerkennung zollen, denn dieses Charaktermerkmal (Hilfsbereitschaft) geht in der Welt immer mehr vor die Hunde!

Lol, I also get a little hesitate about upgrading. I tend to think if its not broken why fix it. And worry that in the upgrade process it will end up broken then the next few days will be consumed with trying to repair the damage. I found 4.6 was an easy upgrade process for me and the new improvements are great also. Glad to see you've upgraded! Cool render to!

I would also love to help people but everyone already knows much more than me, I tried a couple of times and I guess they had sharper chisels and a better hammer! Great render!
