Description

He had never failed to carry out a contract... Until now. Something about this one had gotten into his head. He walked back into the shadows, shaken and shivering, but alive. Thanks for the peek and your comments (they mean a lot)

This is a fantastic, moody piece. I'm very impressed. It looks like the illustration you'd find on a Dresden novel, or something with that same energy and feel. I'm very impressed with the way you use color to make him pop from the background -- especially in his boots. The faint hint of a glow makes him seem both magickal and menacing. My two suggestions for improvement would be to tone down the reflections in the pool near his right hand. In the smaller version, I thought he was holding some kind of curved blade or casting a spell. I had to go full size to see that the background is trying to steal focus from the two characters. That brings me to the second suggestion: Lose or move the girl. She is distracting from his "lone wolf" vibe. She either needs to be bigger -- and with a pose that makes it more clear as to what she's doing -- or gone. But of course, I'm just nit-picking. This is a really strong image and if it were on a book cover, I would definitely flip it over to read the back cover to see what it's all about. Well done.

Extraordinary mood. Just a litle critics: could you put some shadow on the feet (or legs)of the man (Photoshop?), because he seems to enter into a dark zone?

Splendid Dark work man, a great air of pathos from the mechanic, brought to mind a favorite Pink Floyd song too Peace On the turning away From the pale and downtrodden And the words they say Which we won't understand "Don't accept that what's happening Is just a case of others' suffering Or you'll find that you're joining in The turning away" Pink Floyd - On The Turning Away
